WHO? The Dae Mun Zen Sangha was formed in November 1994 by Zen Master Dae Gak and his students in the Greater Cincinnati area. In 2001 the Sangha founded the Cincinnati Zen Center in downtown Oakley. The Sangha consists of lay Zen practioners who come together weekly and in retreat settings to practice the Dharma, working to manifest the Dharma path in the roles of everyday life. Please feel free to contact Abbot Mark Davis or Vice Abbot Matthew Collins with questions that aren't addressed on this site. Thanks for your inquiry! WHAT? The Center offers retreats, workshops, discussion groups, individual instruction and weekly Zen practice. Pl! ease see the "Schedule" page for information about practice times and events. Join us any time--no previous experience or orientation is required. WHERE? The CZC is located at 4011 Allston Street in Oakley, just off the Square. If you are southbound on I-71, take the Smith-Edwards exit and turn left at the end of the ramp, which is Markbreit St. You'll see Allston on your left where Markbreit and Madison Roads converge at Oakley Square (King Arthur's Court toy store is on the corner of Allston). The Zen Center is in a store front just around the corner. If you are northbound on I-71, turn right at the end of the ramp, which is Smit! h St, then left at Edwards and right on Markbreit. ! < /td> |
